MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES
Pre-Scribe 3
Launch - This was very well attended, being in combination with the Arts' Hub opening. We made $529.20 and sold 21 books. The raffle brought in $239.20. The question was raised as to whether we could hold it at a similar time next year and once again combine with the artists. [Lisa to contact Jessie]
Report and Recommendations - This was distributed by email to BBWN members [see below]
Write-up for website – Kathy Garraway as Publicity Officer is to do a write-up for the website and email it around the Exec before sending onto David.
Sales of anthologies – Bill Frew and Jeannie Haughton have a box of books each. It was unclear how many we have yet to sell. It was then decided to sell them at the monthly Arts' Market in Warragul.
Pre-Scribe 4
There was a vigorous debate re 'our brand' continuing into the future. These points were raised: that we need a selling strategy just as much as a submissions strategy; that we need continued collaboration with the artists; that we need to return to work-shopping; that we reach a decision re the Report & Recommendations over the summer; that prose and poetry need to be separately assessed for inclusion.
Gardivalia
The members who were involved were pleased with their involvement.

MATTERS ARISING
Pre-Scribe 3
The Editorial Team has worked very hard and the proof copy is due back from the printers tomorrow! One image needs some adjustment but apart from that everything is on target.
Gardivalia
Maree distributed the Gardivalia booklets which look stunning. There was discussion re the meeting tomorrow at Janalli Gardens and the poetry readings over the festival. Lisa is available to read at Janalli. Olive, Jean and Bronwyn are available for reading at the Launch on October 2nd at Lillico Studio. [Maree has sent invitations out by email]
Venue search
The search is over! Kathie Olden as Baw Baw Principal Librarian has joined BBWN and this enables us to move into the library proper and use the extensive facilities. [Thank you Kathie!] We are encouraged to fill out feedback forms re facilities at the library and after-hours usage.
CORRESPONDENCE/COMMUNICATION Insurance. Two different quotes have come in re our insurance and public liability. The meeting gave permission for the Exec to make the final decision.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Carol reported that the bank balance at the end of August was $2,371.59. There are outstanding cheques of $443.50 which leaves a balance of $1,928.09 on the 15/09. We will also have to pay insurance, RAV membership and Prescribe 3 printing costs in the next few weeks. Approx total $1,500. Membership fees are also due next month: $20 / $15 conc.
Moved: Kathy Garraway; Seconded: Karen Pierrehumbert
NEW BUSINESS
Liz Jacobsen is in good spirits and walking with a frame. She expects to be home by the end of September. [Great news Liz] A card for her was circulated and signed by those present.
'If u' Can. To assist with our finances Carol shared what the policy was at Bass Coast Writers: they have an annual fee of $10 but each week when they meet the members pay $4. We have initiated a Donation Can and members are encouraged to put in up to $4 each month. Members were unanimous in their support for this.
Communications We are trialling the sending out of one email from the secretary each week. This will incorporate all the emails she receives during the week from various organisations. The Contact List will be circulated twice a year. At the same time we now have a portable Notice Board on which events and competitions will be shown each month.
Meeting format After much discussion it was decided that events planning/anthology needs to take place at another time. The new Exec, after the AGM, will make the decision but they might like to consider still having a business meeting from 6.00 at each meeting or every alternate meeting. The programme over three months might then consist of: prose emphasis, followed by poetry emphasis, then a guest presenter. The overall feeling was that we miss hearing each other's works by being in separate groups.
AGM Carol presented membership forms which, as an Incorporated Group, we need to fill out. These forms will then become our Members' Register. Basically, what we need to function as a group is a President, Secretary and a Treasurer. Nomination forms were available for these and the other roles on the Exec: Web Authors, President, VP, Events Coordinator, Fundraising Coordinator, Publicity Officer, Secretary, Treasurer. We also need a Supper Roster Coordinator.

August 2011 Meeting Minutes
WELCOME Jeannie welcomed several newcomers and returnees: Noreen, Dawn, Judith, Naomi and Marie Luis.
PRESENT Jeannie Haughton, Jennifer Fell, Jo Van de Burgt, Janet Marsh Carol Campbell, Karen Pierrehumbert, Lisa Demos, Jean Marler, Olive Lyon, Robyn Wade, Judy Cook, Maree Wallace, Esther Martin, David Mansfield, Geraldine Burrowes, Kathy Garraway, Bronwyn Hansen, Noreen Kemel, Dawn Gough, Judith St Mart, Naomi Duff, Kim Mullins, Carmel Brotherton and Marie Luis. (24)
APOLOGIES Rodney Williams, Liz Jacobsen, Barbara Erskine.
MINUTES The minutes were read. Moved: Kathy Garraway Seconded: Esther Martin
MATTERS ARISING
PWW 2011 There was a good response to this year's event and people enjoyed the variety of speakers. Olive Lyon moved that congratulations be offered to the organisers of the event. (Bronwyn seconded this). Bronwyn also reported on the $100 raised through the raffle. Despite the success we only broke even financially because of the Shire's grant. ($1000.00) The question arose as to whether we should alternate PWW with a Retreat.
Pre-Scribe 3 As usual several hours have been spent by the Editorial Committee on this year's anthology. There has been a good standard of work offered and the Committee thanked the group for their submissions. The anthology is due at the printers by the end of August. [Thank you, thank you Editorial Committee. Unless you have served on this committee you have no idea how much work is involved!]
Venue search Warragul Primary School has a room which may be suitable for us. The cost is $10-$15 an hour. There is also the possibility of using rooms at Community College Gippsland. Another possibility is 'The Hub' in Yarragon. [Jeannie and Janet to explore these and other options]
Gardivalia There are 33 open gardens this year and 11 workshops. The launch is to be at Lillico Glass Studios on Sunday October 2nd. Olive is to read. There are also 2 gardens we may wish to do readings in: 'Janalii' and 'Picarde' on October 15/16 and 22/23. It was suggested that we print poetry (larger font), laminate and put on stakes around the gardens. Bronwyn is to liaise with Maree and keep us informed.
Voyages Projects Jeannie to keep us in the loop re this.
Review of meeting format When we changed the meeting format earlier this year it was decided to review it after 6 months. These comments were noted:
We don't seem to be doing as much workshopping, but are we being too ambitious? Others thought more work-shopping was being done. The long form group has had patchy results – some groups are not even functioning, others are very successful. Could we drop the business part altogether, or have it every alternate meeting? The new members reported that they had come along because they wanted to write. Could the Events and Pre-Scribe committees meet on other nights? Could Poetry and Prose meet together every 3 months? Could we have a speaker/instructor every 3 months?
AGM It will be up to the new committee to devise the new meeting format . The AGM is held during the October meeting.
CORRESPONDENCE/COMMUNICATION
IN: RAV (Regional Arts Victoria) re insurance.
OUT: Thank you letters/emails have gone out re PWW.
FINANCIAL REPORT
There was no financial statement instead Jeannie gave a report on Liz's health. There have been complications after her surgery and she will need to undergo rehabilitation for some time before returning from Dandenong Hospital. In the meantime Carol Campbell will look after finances. [Thank you Carol]
COMPETITION/PROJECTS TO CONSIDER
'Moment Behind the Photo' Project with ABC. Plus all the other ones sent out by email.
EVENTS COMMITTEE
Gardivalia - October. We will be contributing again this year with readings in the gardens. If you are interested in reading a few paragraphs or some poetry, your own or a favourite, then this is a great opportunity. Gardivalia is an open gardens event in Baw Baw Shire. http://www.gardivalia.com.au/ We are looking for readers and poems that can be laminated and put onto garden stakes and placed around a garden. Volunteers are needed. Bronwyn is the contact person for this event.
Retreat. There is still some discussion about having a retreat day. Just a day out of the normal routine to dedicate to your writing. Carol will price the Anglers Club located near the inlet at Inverloch.
Pre-Scribe 3 launch needs to be organised for the 18th of November. It has been suggested we may be able to use the new Arts Hub at Yarragon. Volunteers to organise this event would be appreciated. Contact Carol if you can help out.
Warragul Kiosk has been booked for the 26th of November. This is an opportunity to sell Pre-Scribe 3 and promote the Network. We would be happy to have people doing readings or sitting writing in the booth. Volunteers who would be happy to spend an hour or the day are needed. Please let us know.
ANTHOLOGY COMMITTEE
Discussion re the Anthology. Maureen Quigley's picture is to be used for the front cover this year. Naomi Duff is a photographer and is willing to offer her skills.
SUPPER BREAK – Thanks Jo Van de Burgt for a magnificent spread!
CREATIVE WRITING EXERCISE – led by Kim Mullins. Thanks Kim for encouraging us to think within the square!
PROSE AND POETRY WORK GROUPS
Poetry We had a larger group this month than we have seen for awhile. A few new comers sat in to see what the process is. Thanks to those who had work to read out and generate discussion from. Next month we are asking people to have a go at writing a piece of prose poetry. There are plenty of websites that will give you an explanation. We will still critique other work if time allows. All welcome.
Prose Several members read out their longer works and feedback was offered.
NEXT MEETING
When: September 15th

COMMITTEE WORK
1. EVENTS COMMITTEE (Report from Carol)
Discussed upcoming PWW and importance of now getting people to attend. Also talked about other offers that have arisen as a consequence of planning PWW. Jack Dann - science fiction author has a place in South Gippsland would be interested in running an intensive 3 hour workshop for $1000. Brief overview of topic/s covered (point form)
- " Technical and thematic aspects of historical and fantastic fiction, including science fiction, fantasy, horror, and magical realism.
- " How to write in the various genres / " History of the genres.
- " Essentials of writing cutting edge fiction.
- " Science fiction and historical fiction.
- " Australian and British and American markets,
- " The nature of creativity / " How to tap into yourself to produce the stuff of fiction.
- "Keys to the Kingdom" - the practical steps to be taken to become a writer. (I will also provide a handout of "The Keys to the Kingdom," which I wrote for Writers Digest, and "Books For Writers: An Essential List".
- " How to get an agent (if and when you need an agent).
- " How to submit a manuscript / " How to determine the best market for a particular novel or story.
- " How to prepare a manuscript, write a cover letter, and handle postage. Do's and don't's.
More fund-raising and maybe we can work towards something like this one day in the future if people are interested. Carol has also spoken to Laura from BanQuet Press, you may remember Janet emailed information earlier in the year from these people. They run a workshop on writing Erotica. Laura was extremely nice on the phone they would also be prepared to come out to us to run a 3 hour workshop at $70 per head with a minimum of 10 people. She was adamant that this was about writing erotica not pornography and they would start out by explaining the difference.
2. ANTHOLOGY COMMITTEE
The new Editorial Committee: Karen, David, Jo and Jean (absent) discussed the selection process. The aim is to have an anthology with as high a standard as possible rather than guaranteeing everyone a place in the booklet. As in 2010 the question will be asked as to how the collection “sits together”. Rodney is to be asked to assist with the Haiku entries. Liz is to do the final proof-read with the original submissions. Janet is to send out a general rah rah reminder to submit work. Jo has sourced a printing company and Karen is at home with the formatting process. The Editorial Team is very positive and looking forward to selecting the pieces for “Pre-Scribe3”. The launch date is set as Friday, November 18th and a venue is almost confirmed.
SUPPER BREAK Thanks Bronwyn for an average supper! (Next time don't leave your plate at home!)
CREATIVE WRITING EXERCISE Apologies to Carol. The Agenda was missing and because it was a smaller meeting this element was omitted. Sorry.
GENRE GROUPS
1. Short form: Poetry
We had only a small group this month. It was nice to see Rodney's face again, he showed us some examples of one line Haiku and gave us a few pointers on the technique. Explaining by example the difference gained by using the word fading instead of fade in one of Lisa's poems. Thanks Rodney for the impromptu lesson. Since it was a small group we spent time discussing / work shopping a couple of individual poems that members were working on. Next month bring a poem you want to share or workshop.
2. Long form: Prose
Several members had the opportunity to read their proposed submissions to the Anthology. It was a very constructive time and the work was of a very high standard.
NEXT MEETING

Anthology. The next meeting will be held at the Old Drouin Butter Factory in conjunction with the artists and their works. Submissions for the anthology are due by the 1st of August, the guidelines will be coming soon but if you work on 1500 max word for short stories and 40 lines for poetry you should be okay. The anthology team will not have time for coaching this year so submit your best work.
Competition. It has been decided to hold the writing competition off until next year 2012.
Funding. One of our partnership applications to the Victorian Writers Centre has been successful. We will be running a fiction writing workshop with Kalinda Ashton. The tentative date is the 26th of June. This is to be confirmed when we receive the documentation from VWC.
Jo got to the information session for the Baw Baw Grants and we can put in only one application under each section. It was recommended that we put one in for the Poetry night under Community development and one for the next anthology launch under Events. The money is not ongoing and recipients are expected to source sponsorship to continue. Jo also got some good information on managing finances for community groups which was given to Liz.
Website: David has been asked to have a look into this.
Alternative Venues: Barbara is looking into other suitable venues for us as well as putting a list together of places we might consider for Playing with words, the launch and other events.

NEW BUSINESS
Recent successes In the 'Traf Tales' competition BBWN took out all three prizes: 1st. Bill Frew; 2nd. Jeannie Haughton; 3rd. Carol Campbell. Lisa Demos has also been awarded one of five regional writers grants by 'The Readings Foundation' which includes mentor ship and attendance at the 'Emerging Writers' Festival' in May 2011. Bill Frew has also won a gig to be a poet in residence on the Ghan train (or another of the long distance trains.) Congratulation everyone!
Copies of the new monthly paper, 'Country to Coast' were shown as several of our members featured in it. [Why don't we do a story on our recent successes?]
Presentation to Jean Marler
Jean was presented with flowers, card and voucher for running the 'Practising Prose@Hunters Road' classes at her home earlier this year. Jean put an enormous amount of work in and the classes were a great success and very much appreciated. Thank you, Jean!
COMMITTEE WORK because numbers were low, being just before Easter, we did not break up into work committees but discussed things as a whole group.
SUPPER Many thanks to Kim and Kathy for a delicious supper. Next month Barbara Erskine is the supplier.
CREATIVE WRITING EXERCISE Thank you Olive for providing a thoughtful and challenging writing exercise. Next month is Jeannie's turn.
PROSE AND POETY WORK GROUPS
Poetry The Poets started off with a presentation by Kathy about the 'Definition of Poetry.' Kathy had sourced an online site at http://www.types-of-poetry.org.uk and given us examples of the different types and structures of poetry. She printed copies of 6 pages of information which also included an outline of the names given to different poetry forms and the terminology used in poetry. This is a great intro to the website for those who would like to know more.
We also discussed a number of presented by Lisa and one by Jean. We also discussed a poem written on a topical subject by some-one from the Bass Coast Writers group. It was an interesting evening. Only a couple of members had chosen the challenge of writing a "Ghazal" or a love poem, none were ready to be received by the group. Carol handed out a list of poetry competitions for those who are feeling game. This months challenge is "Write a poem about an event that has had a strong effect on you." Also last meeting Jean provided us with a copy of document titled 'Revision - Editing - of poetry' Please bring your copy with you to the next meeting as I think we should look at it together as a group. I will bring a couple of spare copies for those who missed the meeting. Of course you are welcome to bring along a piece to have critiqued or one to discuss. [Carol Campbell]

NEW BUSINESS
Website: Bronwyn is resigning from her role as Website Engineer. [Does anyone else have expertise in this area?]
Easter Arts Festival: Laurie Collins spoke on the theme for this year's Easter Arts Festival. It is “The Gift”. It will run from Friday-Sunday (22-24 April) at the ODBF. The BBWN will play a role in this year's event. [See below for details]
Pre-Scribe2: there is still the possibility of sending copies to a Writers' Group in Quesnel in Canada. The price has been brought down to $15 and Jo has set up a display at Warragul Library.
Too many emails: Kathy commented that there were too many emails being generated by the group. [If others have concerns about this please send me an email, or a letter.]
COMMITTEE WORK:
We then broke up into two groups: Events and Anthology
Anthology/Pre-Scribe3: Karen, Jeannie, Janet, Jo, Jean and Tanya
1. There will be a “Pre-Scribe 3” this year. At some stage there may be a 'spoken word' (CD) “Pre-Scribe” instead, or as well as, but not this year.
2. The submission guidelines from 2010 have been circulated to this group and after discussion and amendments the 2011 edition will be available by the next meeting.
3. Karen, Liz and Tanya will work together on the type-setting and design, using 'In Design”.
4. The artists in Gippsland and the BBWN will be invited to submit work to [email protected]
5. Not all work submitted will be accepted. There will be an editorial process as in previous years.
6. A competition will be open to residents of Gippsland and the BBWN (except the Editorial Group).
7. The entrance fee will be $5 for one entry and $10 for three. The prize will be $100 each for both poetry and prose and publication in “Pre-Scribe3”. [Prose is limited to 1500 words]
8. Jo is looking into sponsorship for the competition.
9. There is the possibility that b/w photography will be included in this year's anthology.
10. We are exploring Shire funding to subsidise the cost of the anthology.
Events
Notes from the Events Committee were contributed by Carol Campbell.
* 1. Bronwyn Hansen is taking on the role of liaison for the Easter Arts Festival. This is a great opportunity for reading your work in Public and as publicity for BBWN. The theme this year is 'the gift'. as explained by Laurie at the meeting this may interpreted in any way, your reading a story is a gift. It does not have to have religious connotations. Please contact Bronwyn for more information. [an email has already been circulated]
* 2. A quick perusal of the surveys showed a strong interest in a One Day event and the Playing with Words event. So it was decided to start formulating a plan for the PWW. Various members have been designated to look into a number of potential speakers and approach ECG Macmillan campus to see if a) the venue is an option for us, b) they may sponsor us by providing the venue free of charge. At this stage a date has not been set. We discussed having a competition to coincide but decided it was something we should perhaps work towards in the future. If anyone in the network has contacts that they could make with potential facilitators we would love to hear from them.
* 3. Survey results. We had 17 surveys completed. The results clearly showed demand for a One day event with or without and facilitator, Playing with words with an emphasis on publishing, workshops and feedback. Also a strong interest in bus trips to festivals. At least 6 people were interested in an overnight retreat and 6/8 were interested in participating in Gardivalia. It was also noted that the Poetry Night in February should continue regardless of Ficifolia Festival. Interestingly at least 10 people indicated an interest in meeting with another writers group.
Members of the sub committee will be emailed the full results of the survey, anyone else interested should let me know on my own email [email protected]
SUPPER BREAK: Many thanks to Carol and Geraldine for providing supper. [Geraldine the cake was ENORMOUS and also delicious!] It has been decided to set up a roster re supper so please see the note at the end of the Minutes re this.
WRITING EXERCISE Jo presented us with several sample jars each containing a different smell. We were then invited to write on what these smells evoked for us. Many thanks Jo! Next month Barbara Erskine will provide the inspiration. [Please see the note at the end of the Minutes re the rest of the year]

Kathy has kindly offered to give a short presentation next meeting and those who didn't get to share their work will be offered first opportunity. Others are welcome to join us. New organisational model: starts tonight
Ficofolia Festival 2011: useful feedback was given on the Ficofolia Festival Poetry evening. There was a good mix of items. Was the first half too long? Are there too many imported acts, is it becoming too serious?
CORRESPONDENCE/COMMUNICATION
None received over the holidays
FINANCIAL REPORT
Liz was able to report that there were 89 admissions to the Poetry Evening. The raffle brought in $214; the Artists cost $1,275. Our current balance is: $2,201.69.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE WORKING ON
Heather Dissent introduced herself and many members shared exciting ventures and projects. [Keep up the productive work everyone!]
NEW BUSINESS
Easter Arts Festival: next month Laurie Collins is coming to speak for ten minutes on what their aim is and what part we may want to play.
Pre-Scribe2: there is the possibility of sending copies to a Writers' Group in Canada and connecting with them. The price is also to be brought down to $15. (They cost $10.80 to produce.) Jo is to set up a display at Warragul Library.
Rodney formally passed on the editorship of the Pre-Scribe Anthology. He was thanked for his enormous contribution and editorial insight. Good feedback has been received on Pre-Scribe2.
GENRE GROUPS
We then broke up into two groups: Poetry and Prose.
Prose
Notes from the break-out group “Long-form writing” contributed by Liz Jacobsen
Present: Jeannie Haughton, Judy Cook, Mary Young, Janet Marsh, Karen Pierrehumbert, Merrilyn Mawman, Toby Hansen, Maree Wallace, and Liz Jacobsen. Also signed up for this group but not present: Kim Mullins and Barbara Erskine.
We started off by discussing what “long-form writing”means. We defined it as all forms except poetry, including flash novels, short stories, novels, memoirs.
Jeannie then talked about the different forms the group could take for our feedback activities:
• smaller groups of 3 or four;
• pairing off with one other member of the group;
• distributing our story (or part of it) to all members of the group prior to the next meeting.
Karen felt the group was too big for each of us to review everyone else’s work; we wouldn’t have time to work on our own writing. Maree agreed with Karen.
General discussion ensued from which it was agreed that we would work in small groups, e-mail our current story to the members of our group one to two weeks prior to the monthly meeting, send our feedback to our group members on their work, and then discuss some of the feedback as required at the break-out part of the monthly meetings.
Having decided something about the form the group would take, we then talked about whether we would have speakers. It was decided that it would be difficult to have a speaker just for our group while the “short-form” group was meeting in the same room, so we would like to coordinate with the short-form group on speakers.
We then looked at ways of forming our smaller groups and decided the easiest was to draw name tags from a box. The resulting small groups are:
Group 1 - Maree Wallace, Karen Pierrehumbert, Janet Marsh
Group 2 - Judy Cook, Toby Hansen, Liz Jacobsen, Kim Mullins
Group 3 - Barbara Erskine, Merrilyn Mawman, Mary Young, Jeannie Haughton
We then broke into our small groups to decide what we would do over the next month.
Poetry
Notes from poetry work group contributed by Carol Campbell.
We had round the table discussion about what each person would like to see happen in the poetry group. The following model will be used:
Each meeting we will have a workshop component - to be run by different people each time.
We would also allow time for feedback on work.
The group also decided that it would be good to bring along a favourite poem or type of poem to share and discuss.
Was good except for noise levels.
TASK GROUPS
Pre-Scribe3: Karen, Jeannie, Janet, Jo and Jean
Spoken word: Olive was unwell so this group did not meet
Events:
[The task grouping did not work as well. People seemed tired and many people left before note takers were appointed. If we want things to happen this year, e.g. Pre-Scribe3, Playing with Words, Retreat, then delegation is essential.]
WRITING EXERCISE
Janet talked about memoir writing and dealing with difficult and painful issues. One way forward is to take a step back from a particular experience and re-write it as a fairy tale. Next month Jo will provide the inspiration.
SUPPER
Thank you to Olive and Jeannie for providing supper. March: Esther will be in touch.
NEXT MEETING
Our next meeting is at 6pm on March 17th at Drouin Library
Jeannie welcomed everyone to the second meeting of the year.
PRESENT

NEW BUSINESS
Ficofolia Festival 2011
The theme this year is 'Stars come to Drouin'. The Poetry reading evening is on Friday, February 11th 2011 at 7pm. These are the performers: Peter Pentland, Stewart Morritt & Lucy Leeming, Todd Cook, Rod Williams, Amanda Le Bas De Plumetot, Malfunction, Yvette Stubbs with Chrystal Waters, Soliloquy Jones and BBWN, as well as the Open Mike. The following members will be performing: Olive, Lyon, Lisa Demos, Toby Hansen, and Robyn Wade.
These are the tasks that need to be done prior to, and during the public event:
Cleaning from 9-11am: Jeannie, Karen, Janet, Liz. (Bring own cleaning gear)
Cheese, biscuits and fruit at 5pm: Jeannie and Lisa
Coffee and tea: Jean and Geraldine
Door charges ($12): Liz and Mary
Raffle: Janet (and Jo)
Book selling: Kathy and Robyn
Survey and outcome
Jeannie presented a paper with her findings from the survey and what followed was a lively, noisy and hard-to-take-notes-from session!
Basically, members want their work to be heard, critiqued and published; they also want to continue being in a supportive and inspirational community; they want to be up-skilled in the development of their own work. There was considerable interest in a Writing Retreat (possibly overnight). Overall, the emphasis in 2011 will be on WRITING!
In the end this decision was made: For the next six months the meeting will consist of two sessions: genre and then tasks. (The Business session at the very beginning will be as short as possible.)
1. For the genre session these people indicated their preferences:
Poetry: Jean, Geraldine, Kathy, Jill, Lisa, Carol, Robyn, Judy, Olive, Esther
Prose: Karen, Kim, Mary, Jeannie, Liz, Toby, Janet
Non-fiction: Alice/Barbara
Memoir: none
2. For task session these people indicated their preferences:
Anthology/Pre-Scribe 3: Karen, Jeannie, Janet
Spoken Word: (Olive has offered to assist people in Performance Poetry): Kathy, Mary, Jill, Lisa, Judy, Olive
Events: Playing with Words: Carol, Kim, Robyn, Geraldine
Retreat: Carol, Kim, Robyn, Geraldine
Ficofolia: Jeannie, Judy, Bill Frew
[Toby, Liz, Alice, Esther, Jean, I did not see your names on the board for this section, can you let me know your preferences please]
WRITING EXERCISE
Liz displayed a small child's shoe and for the next 15 minutes we wrote on what it evoked in us. Thank you, Liz. Next month Janet will provide the inspiration.
SUPPER
Esther provided supper – thank you. February: Olive and Geraldine.
PRACTISING PROSE @ HUNTERS ROAD
